2nd – 6th Grade Registration Is Now CLOSED
Register for K-1st Grade Clinics Below through March 1, 2026
Tradition Lacrosse will again be coordinating Garden City unit participation in the Nassau/Suffolk Police Athletic League (PAL) Long Island Lacrosse League for the upcoming Spring 2026 season.
The season will begin in March for 2nd – 6th Graders (games and grade level practices) and April for Kindergarten – 1st Graders (weekly clinics).
Current Garden City Tradition Lacrosse players DO NOT NEED TO REGISTER for PAL as the cost is included in annual Tradition dues and each player will be automatically registered.
FORMAT – ** CHANGES THIS YEAR **
- 2nd and 3rd Grade (6 v. 6 Division) – New this year, PAL has announced a 6 vs. 6 league for 2nd and 3rd graders. Tradition supports this change and believes that small-sided games are more beneficial for development at younger ages than 12 vs. 12 large field format. Players get more touches on the ball, tend to be more engaged in the game itself and can strengthen their stick skills and game understanding. Tradition has entered both grades in this new division.
- K – 1st Grade (Clinics) – weekly Sunday one hour clinics at St. Pauls led by GCHS Varsity Girls Lax players and parent volunteers. In addition to games and drills aimed at introducing basic stick skills, clinics will include introduction to small-sided games, specialized clinics, continued skill development and introductory rules/positional coaching. Format will vary based upon age group and experience level.
- 4th – 6th Grade – team participation in Nassau/Suffolk league with weekly practices and games vs. other PAL town units (schedule TBD)
PAL COST, DISCOUNTS & REGISTRATION
The total registration cost for non-Tradition players is $200 for Spring PAL. For younger (K-3rd) or new players, this will include a uniform. Families registering multiple daughters can use discount “multi” for a discount. Registration cost includes field permit costs, equipment, PAL fees and trainer costs.

Registration and rostering will be run through TeamSnap. You will need a TeamSnap account if you do not have one. We also recommend downloading the TeamSnap app.
US LACROSSE REQUIREMENT
All participants are required to have a U.S. Lacrosse membership valid through 5/28/26. This membership is required for organizational risk management, liability and insurance purposes. Membership can be purchased at uslacrosse.com and is good for 2 years. This membership is a requirement to participate at most clubs, leagues and tournaments at all age levels.
